Beware! Wound picture

I just had to post this little battle wound I had. I have been in the process of making Aidan a queen size quilt for his bed for months. I decided I really wanted to finish it for him by his birthday, so I was scrambling to get everything done. I was talking to the kids while using my rotary cutter and didn't pay attention to where my thumb was hanging over the edge of the ruler. Those things are sharp! It went right through nail and skin and took off a nice big chunk, literally! We had to go to the Dr. because I couldn't get it to stop bleeding. There is a special powder that will help the blood clot, since there was no skin left to stitch. What a crazy thing to do! At least I will be extra careful where my hands are before I use the cutter!

It's just as scary looking as I thought it would! Ouch! I love your blog! I can't believe how big your kids are! Especially Aiden! I also can't believe he is 6! It's so good to see pictures. And of course you look the same as you did in high school! Your still gorgeous! My blog invite should be there!

Very painful! I can't wait to see a picture of the quilt!

I can't believe how big Aiden is now. Samantha will be 6 in a couple of months and it seems crazy to me all that they can do.

Hey Erin, wow, that is about the quickest turn-around I've ever had on a recipe if I read that right! I feel like I should give you some kind of door-prize or something. Glad you liked them and thanks for your support and comments!

And woah, when did you move to Hawaii?? Is that a new move or did I just never notice?

First of all, OUCH!!! I accidentally cut Roo's forhead open with a rotary knife over a year ago and she had to get three stitches. I felt awful (that's an understatement actually).

Secondly, I just caught up on your blog. You are great at keeping it updated Erin! I loved every post. It'll fill me up for the drought I'm about to go through. :)
